Responsibilities

  1. Building and operating one of the leading short video apps in the world. It needs to scale to billions of interactions per day with > 99.95% uptime, while keeping serving costs under control. As a staff engineer, you will contribute to the architecture, high-level design/low-level design of various systems and applications that constitute the back end of the app. You will be responsible for coding and deploying these applications to production and maintaining operational excellence.
  2. Establishing technology vision and best practices for the team, demonstrating how to solve deeply complex technical challenges and helping communicate that vision to the engineering, product and business teams.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields from accredited and reputable universities.
  2. 8+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience
  3. Exceptional coding skills in any high level language (Preferred: Go)
  4. Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  5. Good knowledge of distributed technologies and real-time systems of high throughput, low latency, and high scale
